"We’d just started recording “Here Forever” when we heard about the attack on the Bataclan. Our friend was drumming in Eagles of Death Metal and everyone was trying to get through to his wife and see if anyone had word from him. As the devastation unfolded we sat together in the studio not knowing what to do. Thankfully, we found out Julian had been confirmed safe and we decided the only thing we could do at that point, our hearts heavy with grief for the many lost, to finish what we’d started and lean into the healing of song. We tracked this one with tears and Mark suggested I speak the words in French. You can hear them if you listen real close."
